if you know us here at chuao, you know how passionate we are about s’mores. This national waffle day, we’re switching things up with a tasty twist on the classic with campfire cones!
Campfire cones are so fun and easy to make, and despite the name, they don’t actually require a campfire to create. All you need is some aluminum foil, waffle cones, your favorite chuao chocolate bars, mini marshmallows, and any other fun toppings you want to add!
To make your campfire cones, simply stuff each waffle cone with a mixture of chocolate, marshmallow, and toppings – like fruit, nuts, peanut butter, sprinkles, candies, etc. We recommend stuffing the bottom of the cone with marshmallow so no toppings drip out of the bottom.
we love having a selection of chocolates and toppings so everyone can customize their own cone, but you can also prepare them ahead of time if you’re going camping. some of our favorite chocolate flavors to use in our campfire cones are our honeycomb, carrot cake, and sprinkle dreams bars.
Next, wrap your completed cones in aluminum foil and heat them over the campfire, on the grill, or in the oven. Once the chocolate and marshmallow are hot and gooey, carefully unwrap your campfire cone (with oven mitts) and enjoy!
